We can not help but say that the latest HP Imprint called "Intersect" reminds us of the designer LV finish for ultra expensive carry cases. Expanding on the sophisticated elegance of the existing line, this "Intersect" DV5 is defined by a High-gloss HP Imprint finish in bronze and chrome with color-matched keyboard and touchpad. Inside this laptop is fully loaded with all a powerful AMD Mobile processor, the capable ATI HD3200 graphic chip, the latest ports and connectivity, and a gamut of other features and even a remote controller. Still, if there is one highlight of this laptop, it is the stunning design. We hope no secrets will be revealed accidentally, like in the Kentucky commercial, the moment the unit is taken out of the box ^.^ You have to see the DV5-1125NR to appreciate and drool...This one is a certified Cool!



The DV5-1125NR's Intersect Imprint features an argyle-like pattern for subtle contrast to the liquid appearance of the metallic finish. The HP logo on the cover is LED back-lit and shines bright white on the lid when the system is turned on to provide additional radiance to the bronze finish. In an innovative touch, the touch media controls that light up and become visible only when the system is powered on. The media buttons light up in a glow white while the mute and Wi-Fi buttons in orange when you touch the the volume or Wi-Fi button. The over all appearance is sleek and modern; with a striking design that is sure to communicate your good taste.

AMD's latest notebook platform, Puma consists of three(3) ingredients - The new Turion X2 mobile processors (codenamed Griffen), an AMD M780G (RS780M) mobile chipset and 802.11a/b/g/n compliant Wi-Fi chip from third party vendors. The AMD Griffen core mobile processor (65nm process technology) is complete with AMD CoolCore for fine and course power management on various part of the CPU dynamically, as well as a more power-optimized and updated HyperTransport 3.0 bus. Specs wise the TurionX2 RM-72 is a dual-core that runs at 2.1 GHz with 512 KB L2 cache per core([/i]1mb combined[/i]). The RM series differs from the previous Turion 64 X2 CPUs by utilizing the so-called 'split power plane design', which allows independent voltage planes for processor and memory controller for greater control over performance based on system demands. By making it possible to reduce the voltage of the components, the whole system is able to provide longer batter life.



The 2nd component of the Puma Platform is the AMD RS780M) mobile chipset which is partnered with the ATI HD3200 graphics. The HD3200 is the biggest improvement we have found on the Puma Platform and according to ATI the Radeon™ HD3200 Graphics is a DirectX® 10 capable integrated video graphics that introduces never before-seen detail-rich images and dynamic interactivity for playing the latest games. The Radeon HD 3200 graphics engine has been tested to provide rather decent 3DMark06 results that translates to playable casual gaming. According to LaptopMag.com, AMD promises “three times the 3D graphics performance of comparable competitor graphics” Notebookcheck goes further by stating that, "Compared to older onboad graphic chips (e.g., GMA X3100), the HD 3200 is much faster. As part of the DV5T redesign the Infinity display is a new option introduced on the dv5 series notebooks. Previous laptop designs had the LCD Bezels/borders clearly visible and provide a border around the display. The new HP “Infinity” design has a glass that reaches edge-to-edge giving the high-gloss screen the appearance of a never-ending display to enhance the total viewing experience and provides for a sleek and seamless view. The display on the DV5T also features BrightView technology which makes everything on screen look better, crisper, and cleaner. Brightview LCDs use an optical coating to reduce the amount of external light reflecting from the surface without affecting light emanating from the screen. Brightview displays create more saturated colours, deeper blacks, brighter whites, and are sharper than traditional matte displays. This makes the BrightView display more appropriate for viewing photos, watching movies, or even just general computer usage such as web browsing
